Sophie Melville

Sophie recently starred in GIRL IN THE MACHINE at the Young Vic. She can also be seen starring in James Graham's new series, THE WAY, directed by Michael Sheen for BBC One.

On stage, she starred in the hit play COWBOIS by Charlie Josephine at the Royal Court. The production received extraordinary reviews following its original run at the RSC.

In late 2022 she reprised her breakthrough stage performance in IPHIGENIA IN SPLOTT at the Lyric Hammersmith which sold out. The role previously earned her nominations for the Drama Desk Awards and Evening Standard Awards.

Other theatre includes Portia in THE MERCHANT OF VENICE at Shakespeare's Globe, MUM by Morgan Lloyd Malcolm at Soho Theatre, SORTER at Swansea Grand, HERDING CATS at Soho Theatre, WOLFIE at Theatre503, POPS at The Assembly, THE DIVIDE at the Old Vic and NO ONE WILL TELL ME HOW TO START A REVOLUTION at Hampstead Theatre.

She featured in BBC drama THE PACT as Mandy and was recently seen in THE CHELSEA DETECTIVE for Acorn TV.
