BAFTA Rising Star nominee, Jack Lowden is currently starring as River Cartwright in Apple’s hit series SLOW HORSES alongside Gary Oldman, a role for which he has received a 2024 Emmy nomination and a Best Supporting Actor BAFTA nomination in 2023 and 2024. He also leads the cast of the BBC's drama THE GOLD, written by Neil Forsyth.
In film, Jack has recently shot James L Brooks' upcoming feature ELLA MCCAY opposite Emma Mackey for 20th Century Studios and wrapped an action movie, TORNADO, opposite Tim Roth earlier this year.
Jack starring roles in Terence Davies’ BENEDICTION and Matt Palmer's CALIBRE earned him BAFTA Scotland Awards for Best Actor in 2022 and 2018 respectively.
Other recent film credits include Zak Knight in FIGHTING WITH MY FAMILY, Henry Darnley in MARY QUEEN OF SCOTS, Collins in DUNKIRK directed by Christopher Nolan and Thomas in KINDRED, which also marked his debut as a producer.
On stage, Jack won an Olivier Award and the Ian Charleson Award for his role as Oswald in Richard Eyre's 2013 adaptation of GHOSTS. He'll return to the stage later this year in David Ireland's new play THE FIFTH STEP.
