Allen & Payne Casting was formed by Lucy Allen (she/her) and Tom Payne (they/them). The duo have cast several projects together including TV series BERGERAC (U & DRAMA), GRACE (ITV), DOMINO DAY (BBC3), 4STORIES: ON THE EDGE (CH4) and films including the upcoming SUNNY DANCER, BLACK DOG which premiered at London Film Festival 2023 and short SWEETHEART which premiered at Sundance 2025.
Allen & Payne met whilst working for Daniel Edwards CDG where they worked on projects including LINE OF DUTY (BBC), SHOWTRIAL (BBC/World Productions), and are both part of the Emmy, RTS and CDG award-winning casting team behind HEARTSTOPPER S1,2&3 (Netflix)
The duo founded GAP Workshops that had its inaugural course during the summer of 2022. This free course helps support and introduce Trans actors to the TV and Film industry with several participants going on to gain their first professional credits. Their work for GAP workshops were recognised by the National Diversity Awards 2024 where they were finalists for the Positive Role Model for LGBT Category.
Tom and Lucy are both members of BAFTA Connect and of the Casting Directors Guild of Great Britain.
