Selton Mello

Selton Mello is a Brazilian actor, director, and screenwriter. He has most recently gained international recognition for his role as Rubens Paiva in Walter Salles' film I'M STILL HERE which won the Academy Award for Best International Feature in 2025. He will soon be seen in ANACONDA alongside Paul Rudd, Jack Black, and Thandiwe Newton.

Selton's career spans over four decades. He began as a child actor in television and rose to fame with standout roles in critically acclaimed films like TO THE LEFT OF THE FATHER, MY NAME AIN'T JOHNNY, DRAINED, and LISBELA AND THE PRISONER. Transitioning into directing, he gained widespread acclaim with THE CLOWN and THE MOVIE OF MY LIFE. He is also the writer, director, and star in the Brazilian version of of US series IN TREATMENT.
