Kartanya Maynard is a trawlwoolway woman of nipaluna/Hobart in lutruwita/Tasmania. Since a young age Kartanya has been a storyteller and always aspired to be an artist.
Midway through 2023, Kartanya joined the lead cast of Netflix’s international hit series HEARTBREAK HIGH. In the same year she played the lead role of “Ritchie” in ABC’s, THE MESSENGER as well as key supporting roles in Amazon Prime’s original series, DEADLOCH and GOLD DIGGERS for ABC & CBS Studios. In 2024 Kartanya will co-lead Sydney Theatre Company’s powerful production of STOLEN
