Julia Grogan

Julia has just finished a hugely successful run of GUNTER, a play which she co-wrote and starred in, at the Royal Court Theatre.

Other credits include the dark historical comedy BELLY UP which premiered at the VAULT Festival 2020, headed the Underbelly at Edinburgh Fringe 2021 and went onto sell out five star run at The Turbine theatre September 2021.

Her monologue DARK SIDE OF JUNE was selected for further development by members of the Young Vic Genesis Network. She is currently a RSC Writer on Attachment 2022. Julia is currently adapting an original comedy pilot PLAYERS for Hattrick.

Julia joined the Royal Court Intro Writers’ Group after graduating. Her debut play PLAYFIGHT won the ETPEP Award 2020, was shortlisted for the Papatango Award, the Theatre Uncut Award and long listed for the Women’s Prize for Playwriting.
