Joanne Froggatt

JOANNE FROGGATT won the Golden Globe and is a three-time Emmy-nominee for her portrayal of 'Anna Bates' in the award-winning series and film adaptations of 'Downton Abbey.'

She will shortly appear as a lead opposite Tom Hardy, Helen Mirren and Pierce Brosnan in new Guy Ritchie series MobLand for Paramount+.

Joanne recently led ITV's ‘Breathtaking' written by Jed Mercurio, Joanne portrayed real life NHS-doctor Dr. Abbey Henderson in the early days of the COVID-19 pandemic and won 5* reviews for her standout performance.

She also led the critically acclaimed series ‘North Shore’ (Paramount+), ‘Last Light’ (Peacock), and starred in the BAFTA-winning series ‘Sherwood’ (ITV). Having received amazing reviews for both of her collaborations with creators Harry and Jack Williams in their series ‘Angela Black,’ a Hitchcockian thriller and in ITV’s enormous hit 'Liar'.

Joanne starred opposite Elle Fanning in IFC's 'Mary Shelly,' which premiered at the Toronto Film Festival, and opposite Luke Treadaway in 'A Street Cat Named Bob.; she delivered a career defining performance in the independent film, 'In Our Name,' for which she won the British Independent Film Award for 'Best Actress and followed this with the acclaimed film 'Starfish’.

After the film release of ‘Downton Abbey,’ Joanne returned to the small screen to rave reviews portraying 'Mary Ann Cotton,' the first female serial killer, in the critically acclaimed miniseries 'Dark Angel.'

Joanne’s other film credits include John Baird's 'Filth' with James MacAvoy, the Cannes Film Festival selection, 'Still Life' opposite Eddie Marsan, and 'U Want Me 2 Kill Him,' among others. She has worked extensively in television, including series such as the BBC's 'True Love' with David Tennant, 'Robin Hood,' 'The Royle Family,' 'See No Evil,' 'Life on Mars,' and 'The Street' among others.
