Izuka Hoyle

Izuka has just been announced as the lead in new Sky thriller series PRISONER opposite Tahar Rahim, written and produced by Academy Award and BAFTA nominee Matt Charman, directed by Otto Bathurst.

Recently seen in the BAFTA and BIFA nominated film THE OUTRUN with Saoirse Ronan, Izuka is proving herself as a leading talent whose career crosses all mediums.

The recipient of 2022 BAFTA Scotland 'Best Actress in Film' for her role in the feature BOILING POINT and the 2023 BAFTA Scotland nomination for 'Best Actress in Television' for the Channel 4 comedy BIG BOYS, a role which she played for all 3 series, Izuka previously took leading roles in BBC's hit comedy thriller LUDWIG opposite Anna Maxwell Martin and David Mitchell and the Amazon comedy DINNER WITH THE PARENTS. She starred in BBC's drama THE RESPONDER with Martin Freeman, and continued to play her breakout role of Camille in Phil Barantinis BOILING POINT when it was adapted as a series for BBC television following the international success of the feature.

In film she can be seen in the Netflix adaptation of PERSUASION opposite Dakota Johnson and joined the cast of THE AFTER with David Oyelowo, which was nominated for an Oscar for Best Live Action Short Film.

Listed as Evening Standard's 'Rising Star', Izuka made her professional debut in MARY QUEEN OF SCOTS (Working Title) alongside Saoirse Ronan and Margot Robbie, and followed this with the film VILLAIN for Phil Barantini, the BBC drama series CLIQUE, the BBC comedy JERK and went on to star in Amazon's WHEEL OF TIME as Dana.
