Having recently wrapped on the feature WHAT REMAINS OF US, with Kit Harington and Caylee Cowan, Hugh plays series regular Dom in Merman/Sky comedy series DREAMLAND alongside Lily Allen, Freema Agyemann and Aimiee Ffion Edwards and can currently be seen as a series regular in the BBC / HBO comedy series JUICE. He will next be seen in the Netflix drama BABY REINDEER based on Richard Gadd's award winning play of the same name and the Roughcut / Channel 4 comedy WE MIGHT REGRET THIS in one of the lead roles.
Hugh starred opposite Donald Glover in series 3 of ATLANTA (FX) and is best known as series reg LIAM in BBC's DEFENDING THE GUILTY with Will Sharpe and Katherine Parkinson, his screen credits include the recent series of DEATH IN PARADISE (BBC), DOC MARTIN (ITV), and THE MYSTERIOUS DISAPPEARANCE OF AGATHA CHRISTIE (Sky) with Anna Maxwell Martin.
In film Hugh plays the support lead of Rex in the Fudge Park comedy THE FESTIVAL.
On stage Hugh originated the role of George McFly in Universal's musical adaptation of BACK TO THE FUTURE in 2022, earning him an Olivier and Stage Debut nomination as well as winning the WhatsOnStage Award for Best Supporting Actor in a Musical. Hugh transferred with the show to Broadway in 2023, the only UK cast member to do so, winning 5* reviews across the board for his performance.
