Genesis can currently be seen in Series 2 of the Amblin / Paramount + series HALO, joining the cast as Bowman, as well as the new series of DOCTOR WHO for the BBC, alongside Ncuti Gatwa.
She has also just wrapped on the feature CHRISTMAS KARMA, directed by Gurinder Chadha.
Genesis was recently seen in the ITV comedy drama YOU & ME opposite Harry Lawtey, Jessica Barden and Sophia Brown, she followed this with the New Pictures / BBC 8 part series CHAMPION, written by celebrated novelist Candice Carty-Williams.
She made her professional debut as Dr Archie Husdon, the first long-running Black, gay regular in CASUALTY, and followed this with two series of BBC's hit show SILENT WITNESS as fan-favourite Simone Tyler, securing her a loyal fanbase. She then joined as a regular in DEATH IN PARADISE (BBC).
Genesis also previously took regular roles in THE BABY (HBO), A DISCOVERY OF WITCHES (Bad Wolf / Sky) and the international hit SHADOW AND BONE (Netflix / 21 Laps).
In Film, Genesis led the award-winning indie LOVE IS A HAND GRENADE, and followed this with a lead in the Raindance and BFI Flare nominated film THE COST OF LIVING. Her most recent film FINDING DAD was also nominated for the Berlin Film Festival.
Genesis also originated the role of Anne of Cleve in SIX THE MUSICAL and the titular role of SYLVIA for The Old Vic and Kate Prince.
