Claire Bloom

Claire most recently filmed DOC MARTIN for ITV.

Claire's impressive career spans over many decades, and her international debut came with LIMELIGHT, directed by and starring Charlie Chaplin. She also appeared in Laurence Olivier's films RICHARD III and CLASH OF THE TITANS.

She has appeared in a number of plays in both London and New York. These include DUEL OF ANGELS opposite Vivien Leigh, A STREETCAR NAMES DESIRE, and THE LADY'S NOT FOR BURNING.

Other screen credits include;  BRIDESHEAD REVISITED, ANNA KARENINA opposite Sean Connery, SHADOWLANDS, (for which she received the BAFTA Award for Best Actress), and THE KING'S SPEECH.
