Charlotte Sutton CDG (Casting Director)

Charlotte Sutton is the Head of Casting at the Royal Shakespeare Company. Her extensive theatre credits include Love’s Labour’s Lost (RSC), Best of Enemies, Fairview, Death of a Salesman, The Convert, Trade and Dutchman  (Young Vic), Guys and Dolls (Bridge), The Secret Life of Bees (Almeida), South Pacific (Sadler’s Wells, CFT & UK tour); Cock (Ambassador’s); Company (Gielgud); Long Day’s Journey Into Night (Wyndham’s, BAM & LA);  wonder.land; The Light Princess, Emil and the Detectives, The Elephantom (National Theatre). 

She was the Casting Associate at Chichester Festival Theatre from 2017-2023, where her credits included: The Inquiry, Assassins, Local Hero, The Famous Five, Sing Yer Heart Out for the Lads, Our Generation (also NT), Doubt, Oklahoma!, The Deep Blue Sea, The Watsons, Cock, Flowers for Mrs Harris, The Meeting, Quiz, Fiddler on the Roof, Caroline, or Change, Strife and Mack and Mabel. 

She has been nominated for numerous CDG awards, including for Company and Caroline or Change which went to Broadway. She has also won two CDG awards, one for Best Casting in Theatre for Our Generation, and one for Best Casting in Musical Theatre for Guys & Dolls.

She is currently working with Marianne Elliot on Sunday in the Park with George, which will be performed at the Barbican in 2027 starring Jonathan Bailey and Ariana Grande.
