Born in 2000, British actor Brenock O'Connor is perhaps best known for his role of 'Olly' in GAME OF THRONES. Brenock has just wrapped on new international series RIDE OUT, and starred in Amazon’s critically acclaimed television adaptation of Anthony Horowitz' hit series ALEX RIDER, playing Alex's best friend and sidekick, ‘Tom’. Other television work includes Sky's series LIVING THE DREAM as ‘Freddie’, ‘Jon’ in Channel 4's BAFTA nominated Irish comedy DERRY GIRLS, and BBC series' DICKENSIAN and THE SPLIT.
On stage, Brenock most recently starred as ‘Keith Richards’ in REDLANDS at Chichester Festival Theatre. In 2019, Brenock starred as the leading role ‘Conor’ in the musical adaptation of hit film SING STREET, which opened at the New York Theatre Workshop. Brenock received a Drama League Nomination for Distinguished Performance for the role, and the New York Times called his performance ‘a smashing New York stage debut’.
Film work includes the leading role of David in THE BROMLEY BOYS, along with roles in Vita and Virginia and ANOTHER MOTHER'S SON. Brenock will next be seen in Irish feature film DOUBLE BLIND and has just wrapped as the lead in feature film THE SPIN.
Brenock is also a singer-songwriter under the name McGovern.
