Charlie Josephine

Charlie is an actor and a writer.

Their award-winning work includes I, Joan (The Globe 2022), Bitch Boxer (Soho Theatre Young Writers Award 2012, Old Vic New Voices Edinburgh Season 2012, British Council Showcase 2013, Holden Street Theatre’s Award 2013, Clonmel Theatre Award 2014 and Adelaide Fringe Award 2014), BLUSH (Underbelly Untapped Edinburgh Season 2016 and The Stage Edinburgh Award 2016). 
 

As an actor, Charlie was last seen at The Globe Theatre Sam Wanamaker Playhouse in Metamorphoses. Charlie played Mercutio in Erica Whyman’s 2019 production of Romeo and Juliet, and as Bardolph in Fiona Laird’s The Merry Wives of Windsor at the Royal Shakespeare Theatre.  Other acting credits include An Oak Tree (Tim Crouch-Warwick Arts Centre),  Secret Theatre (Sean Holmes-Lyric Hammersmith) and Julius Caesar (Phyllida Lloyd-Donmar Warehouse).

Charlie is trans-masc nonbinary actor who uses they/he pronouns. They're happy to play characters of all genders.
